Lyonsleaf Unscented Marshmallow Soften and Rejuvenate Facial Oil 30ml

This is the unscented version of Lyonsleaf's 100% natural, Softening and Rejuvenating facial oil, but there is a fragranced version available too.

An extraordinary oil, light and easily absorbed, yet rich and deeply nourishing. This oil is host to a broad range of fatty acids that really boost skin's lipid content, bolstering skin barrier and helping the skin retain moisture. Rosehip oil and borage oil contain large amounts of linoleic fatty acid (an essential fatty acid that your body cannot make itself). They also contain GLA (gamma-linolenic acid) which is normally made in the body from linoleic acid but some people with difficult skin do not have the enzyme needed for this to be made and therefore their skin barrier has less integrity.

These fatty acids are essential for good skin barrier, but are not sun-stable, they will oxidise in the sun and create free radicals. Lyonsleaf has created this oil specifically for use at night to compliment our Beauty Balm which contains high levels of sun-stable tropical oils and is great for day-time use. We recommend using this oil in the evening after oil cleansing. It can be used daily, or a few times a week as required.

This facial oil also contains Lyonsleaf's home-grown soothing Calendula extract, but the star of the show is the Marshmallow extract - a very potent dose of it (Marshmallow macerated oil makes up a whopping 50% of this product). Marshmallow has acquired a reputation as a skin saviour an anti-ager and rejuvenator, it is known for improving a cells ability to hold moisture, plumping skin to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

But we love marshmallow because it softens and revives skin in need of TLC. We made this as a facial oil, but try it on feet, elbows or hands damaged by water or roughened by gardening, its ability to soften and repair is remarkable.
