Frankincense is derived from the resin of the Boswellia carterii or Boswellia sacra tree. It has a distinctive aroma which I describe as increasing contentment and positivity. Ylang Ylang is highly floral and has an exotic scent. It is uplifting and arousing. It is great for a treatment in dry hair and will nourish and stimulate the scalp. It increases feelings of wellbeing. Tea tree essential oil: it is also derived from a tree, found in Australia. It has a earthy smell and anti-bacterial properties Lavender essential oil: it has a familiar, fresh, floral maybe slightly harsh and sweet aroma. It blends well with the other oils and is soothing and balancing.
