How to connect your Shopify store to your Counter Culture Vendor's Dashboard
At Counter Culture we want to make it as easy as possible to sell via our store. If you have a Shopify store you can connect it to your Counter Culture Vendor Dashboard.

- Products - Sync your Shopify store products - update price and descriptions once.
- Inventory - Sync your Shopify store’s inventory - helps avoid selling unavailable or out of stock items.
- Orders - Counter Culture orders will automatically appear in your Shopify store - no need to manually enter them.
Option 1 - DIY - How to connect your Shopify store to your Counter Culture Vendor's Dashboard Yourself
The process is super simple and should take no more than 10 minutes. If you would prefer for us to carry out the integration please skip to the next section. Get Counter Culture to make the integration.

Step 1 - In Shopify, create a private app
1 - Settings > Apps and sales channels > Develop apps
2 - Create an app
3 - Enter a name for the app
4 - Go to Configure Admin API Scopes
5 - Configure Admin API Scopes
This step enables a limited set of permissions so that your Shopify store can connect to your vendor dashboard to sync orders, inventory and product details.
The required permissions are:
Assigned fulfillment orders (Read and write)
# read_orders, write_orders
Fulfillment services (Read and write)
# read_fulfillments, write_fulfillments
Inventory (Read and write)
# read_inventory, write_inventory
Locations (Read Access)
# read_locations
Order Editing (Read and write)
# read_orders, write_orders
Orders (Read and write)
# read_orders, write_orders
Product Listings (Read and write)
#write_product_listings, #read_product_listings
Products (Read and write)
# read_products, write_products.
You should have enabled 15 permissions.
6 - Go to Configure Storefront API Scope
Select: unauthenticated_
Click save.
7 - Install app
7 - Copy API credentials - leave this window open
Step 2 - In Counter Culture Vendor Dashboard Configure Connector
1 - In a new window go to your Counter Culture Vendor Dashboard
2 - Dashboard > Configuration > Seller Sync App Configuration
3 - Enter API credentials
Copy and paste the required information from Shopify into the relevant fields.
Select Auto Sync New Products, Sales Channel and Sync Location
Click Save
Please note: You may receive a warning to select a location - if this happens - deselect Sync Location then Save.
You will then need to reselect Sync Location and tick the appropriate location e.g. ‘My Warehouse’
Click Save again. Nearly there!
4 - Import Products
The Import Products process will offer a choice to import a date range, by ID or by handle. It’s recommended that you select the first option. If no products are imported, then repeat and extend the date range.
Please note: The product import process can take up to 24 hours to complete
Option 2 - Let us do it for you
If you don't have the time or confidence to do the integration yourself we can help. Simply follow these steps:
- Send us a collaborator request code via email - how to do this
- Approve the request in Shopify - you will receive an alert via email and in Shopify.
Testing, testing
Whether you've followed option 1 or 2, once the connection has been set up we will send you a test order which should appear in your Shopify store admin. Please go ahead and mark the order as fulfilled by entering a . We cancel the order once it has been successfully marked as fulfilled - there is no need to physically fulfill the order.
