Oscar & BAFTA winning Hair & Makeup Designer becomes Counter Culture's first Brand Ambassador
We are delighted and super excited to welcome Christine Blundell to Counter Culture as our first Brand Ambassador!
If you've watched films like Casino Royale, Wonder Woman, Sherlock Holmes, The Gentlemen, Paddington, Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Constant Gardener, Vera Drake, Aladdin, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Seven Years In Tibet, The Full Monty to name just a few, then you've seen her work. Christine has won both an Oscar & BAFTA for Topsy-Turvey in 1999 and was nominated for 3 more BAFTAs in 2004 and 2014 for her work on Vera Drake, Finding Neverland and Mr Turner.
Christine started her career as a hairdresser before taking an intensive make-up course. This led to her first work in entertainment as she became a make-up artist on Phantom of the Opera.After several years working at LWT in TV Christine embarked on her first feature with director Mike Leigh. This marked the beginning of a long and successful relationship that has spanned more than 20 years and included the films Life is Sweet, Secrets & Lies, Vera Drake and Topsy Turvey.
Christine also established the Christine Blundell Makeup Academy a London-based make-up academy that trains aspiring make-up artists and then introduces them into the movie industry. Her graduates have worked on hundreds of major movies. We will be working with Christine to give you access to her skills with make-up tutorials, skincare tips and quick hacks that can save you time! Learn what sort of products Christine uses on set and why and what she prefers herself! And of course she will be reviewing some of the amazing products available at Counter Culture. But Christine's not afraid to speak her mind, so she'll share her genuine and authentic views, which is just as we'd like it!
